Birthdays
I hope you all had a nice July 4th weekend. I personally think it was a little cold and the sun really could have come out more. Good thing it warmed up for my Birthday though, lol. I didn't do anything special. I got practical gifts i can take with me and use when i get married. My dad did get me a tripod. Pretty awesome that is. No more balancing the camera on whatever surface i can find, lol. I'll have to do some light painting using it. Other than that, i'm just getting older. I guess 20, 21, 22, 23 all sound the same to me. My youth has left me... And pretty soon i'll be married and having babies. And then i'll feel super old! But i'll always be a kid at heart. ALWAYS! Also my birthday present to myself, a subby.

Farewell Furuba
Today the last volume of Fruits Basket came out. I of course rushed to the store to buy it and read it. Prior to today i've been re-reading, non-stop through the entire series. I noticed more things without the three month gaps in between, lol. And today i finished by reading the end of the story. I guess i get really picky about endings. I feel a little disappointed in it. I hate having an awkward feeling when i put down a book. *cough*harry potter*cough* This was kinda like that. In my personal opinion the series really could have and should have ended with Vol. 22. I mean i enjoyed reading about the characters one last time, but it then proceeded to make it weird for me. Maybe no one agrees with me. I need someone to rant about it with. So if your a Furuba fan and you've read it, let me know what you thought! The sadest part was walking into Borders for the last time i would ever buy a Furuba book. I hate endings. Now i'll have to start spending my money on a new Manga series cause i've completed everything i was buying... *sniffs*

But aside from it coming to an end, i feel so intune with Manga now. After re-reading 22 books in a row, i can see how much of an art Manga truly is. Kazuki Takahashi has always been one of my favorites, but now Natsuki Takaya is my new hero, lol. It's no wonder Fruits Basket became so popular, it's beautiful! I think if i ever get my lazy butt going on that comic i keep saying i'm going to write, she will forever be my #1 inspiration. I feel like i should do some Furuba art, but at the same time, Fruits Basket is so epic i always feel like i should just leave it alone, lol. I dunno.

Art Stuff
Other than contemplating some Furuba art, i'm still working on that Witchblade/KH pic. I feel like i'm starting to hate painting in Photoshop. I just don't think i'm any good at it. Why is my deal??? I'm seriously thinking of scrapping what i've got and starting again. Errrgg. I love pencils too much to ever have much love for Photoshop, lol. Now i'm thinking i'm going to draw Kita again cause it's been awhile. I love having only a couple OCs. You start to love them so much it's like a crime not to draw them often. Sooo much to draw and no time for it! NOOOOOOO! It is my curse.

Ok, i've bored you long enough. I've got Fruits Basket on the brain, lol. BTW, i guess i never realized how much this gallery has grown. [link] I love to see KH fanart. And i'm sure you're all probably wishing i would write the story too, lol! Peace out!
