I'm writing a journal again which means I must be back from another con! Lol. A little late though as this was almost a week ago. It is a journal, so I feel it is appropriate to write about my artistic experiences and such, so choose to read or not to.
Got back from Ohayocon a week ago and I'm still WOOPED! I felt fine for a few days then on Wednesday, my con plague hit. So now I feel like crap and even though I've been sleeping more than usual, it's not enough to make a quick recovery. Anywho. So I got my Artist Alley table on Friday which was literally exactly where I dreamed it would be. (no joke!) My cousin was helping me set up my table and I look beside me, and there is none other than DA legend zeiva. So I'm like, yeah… I won't be selling much this weekend, lol. But she was super nice and of course amazing. Sales were a little slower than expected on Friday, but I did get to enjoy going to the rave Friday night. My cousin was the opening act so I had to rush straight over and I also wanted to stay and see Greg Ayres. So somehow I danced hardcore for 4 straight hours. Obviously I'm a noob because I didn't realize how much it makes you hurt. Excellent workout, but I was really feeling the pain!
Saturday things perked up in the alley. I started to see more and more of my old con buddies. It was sort of turning into an anime convention reunion. But it always makes me happy to make friends and get to see them again. I got to meet a few Haberkornians in the flesh which was a nice surprise! And, due to Artist Alley closing earlier, I was able to make it to my first Todd Haberkorn panel! Horrayz! Afterwards Todd assured me he would come visit me at my prison. I mean table!
So after getting up after only a few hours of sleep, I headed down for my last day. Todd came to visit just as he said he would so I was able to show him all the stuff I do that isn't Team Haberkorn related. I gave him my chibi Todd that I did for the contest a while back. So chibi Todd has a new home. Our meeting just left me with that feeling like my artistic career is really going somewhere and maybe someday soon, I'll be able to go farther than I could have ever hoped. Although, not gonna lie, working with Todd is a dream come true in itself. After that my sales just went through the roof. Somehow I ended up selling the most on Sunday and that never happens! I kept thinking, how is it possible that this convention keeps getting better and better every day? Cause it's Ohayocon and it's magical!
So in the end Ohayocon 2012 turned out to be my best con sales-wise. Honestly, I never believed that would happen, but it did make it great! Overall, I made lots of awesome memories and I have to say this was the best anime convention I've been to yet! And of course I'm struggling through all the commissions I got cause being sick and working on so many drawings is not an easy task! Post con depression won't last long as Sakura-Con is just over two months away! I have a new cosplay to make and butt load of stuff to paint before then, so wish me luck!

Life Updates
New Journal time! It's only been 7 months, lol. I suppose I should mention this, but I will be going to Youmacon in 2 weeks! I'll be there with my Artist Alley table selling far more artwork than I had last time I was there. I hope to do better now that I've had more AA experience. Youmacon 2010 was my official start in the biz and it's time to prove I've learned something. So if you're going to Youmacon, stop by! Artist Alley will be in the Cobo center this year, so hopefully that won't confuse everyone and they will still be able to find us. :XD: Looking forward to seeing LittleKuriboh again as well as meeting Josh Keaton! This
Updates
I just needed to add some more Artist Alley's to the list. 2012 is turning out to be a busy year. I'm still wanting super badly to return to Youmacon and maybe, maybe venture into the state of Wisconsin for Geek.con so I can visit my cousins. We'll see. That plus my already maybes would literally be the most perfect con year ever!
So this list of conventions has made me very busy. Animarathon is only 8 days away and SakuraCon, only 21 days away. SO MUCH TO DO! I'm still working on a cosplay as well as painting bags. And hopefully the first con will be profitable enough to fund the second one as far as refreshing my supplies.

:HIGH FIVE FOR SAKURACON: Also I didn't realize we left you in the dance all alone for 2ish hours ... sorry about that.
